more songs

Greetings faithful audience.

I come to you now in a time of need. As many of you know, I am defending the free people of the world by drinking as much coffee as possible in between cigarette breaks and planning future ventures/adventures.

During this time I have exhausted my extensive collection of music and am in need of recommendations for new tunes. Please feel free to tell me about awesome musical acts, because I am too busy to do that kind of research on my own at this juncture.

The person who suggests the most music that I end up downloading will earn my political favor and quite possibly a 701 Entertainment calendar (due out next Thanksgiving. I know it's a long way away, but I've got a deployment to finish first, whiners). Since this is an ongoing request the number of downloaded songs per recommender will be tallied right before I come home.

Leave your recommendations in the comment section of this update.

Difficulty: No rap, classical, pop, metal or electronica. If a rock group is recommended the singer better not have a whiny bitch voice. If country is recommended I would prefer that it be Outlaw Country. If you recommend R & B then I hope it is more soulful than it is remixed. Recommenders would do well to recommend songs that I could play with the Berry Patch Family Band or the Beerbelly Campfire Drunks (although it is not necessary). Those are the rules. Liars will be slain, cheaters will be promoted. Ready...GO!

I recommend the Strayed Eskimos and Fat Kid Moves. What's that? You've forgotten all the songs for the first and know all the songs to the second? You're awesome, me!

If you're looking for Outlaw Country, check out Shooter Jennings and Hank III (yes that Hank). Don't forget to get some Black Sabbath on that box either. And just for you....Brian Burns "Whiskey-O".

Just downloaded some Shooter Jennings. Now that's some good music. That "Whiskey-0" song isn't too bad, either.
